ACE Masterclass: PR on a Budget
A one-day Masterclass for members who want to be able to create, implement and succeed in using PR as one of their main marketing tools, with a limited budget and only in-house resources.
Understand the value of PR, how it fits into the marketing mix and what it encompasses - from traditional print journalism and media options to social media influencers. Learn how to research your market and create PR plans, press releases and alerts with limited resources. Decide what success looks like and how to measure and evaluate the financial and profile-raising gain of PR over more costly marketing efforts. This practical workshop will be a mix of instruction, group work and discussion. You'll learn:
- How PR fits into your marketing and how to use it to boost retail sales.
- Researching your market and developing a strategic approach.
- PR planning throughout the year (it’s not just for Christmas!).
- Checklist of resources needed to be successful.
- How to measure success.
Aimed at members who want to master PR using their own in-house resources and efforts and have limited PR skills. Beginners with some knowledge.

Joanna Mitchell is a PR Consultant who also works part-time at Historic Royal Palaces. She has over 25 years' experience working both in-house and in PR agencies, where her main focus has been in media, charity and events including BSkyB, Thameslink Rail and Sport for Television.
