Beckford Silk welcomed some exciting visitors this week when BBC One’s Flog It came to film a section for their TV programme. They filmed the entire silk scarf making process, following the silk from it’s arrival to the finishing of the scarf. Director Anne Hopkins showed presenter Paul Martin all the stages of production, filming the screen printing, digital printing, dyeing, washing, steaming and hand rolling. Paul was even kind enough to pose for a photo with our female members of staff!
Watch out for it to be aired on BBC1 in the Autumn.
The judges have deliberated, ACE Convention delegates have voted and the winners are in. This year's Best Product Awards were announced during a Gala Dinner at Enginuity in Ironbridge.

This is the last week for nominations for the Retail Resilience Programme being held in the North West of England. This 4 day programme is being funded by the Arts Council and is free of charge for Arts Council Accredited Museums.
Outgoing Chair of ACE John Stachiewicz, Commercial Director of Tate, closes his final conference as Chair. He praises a "thrilling and invigorating convention". He is delighted that the events and offer of ACE has gone from strength to strength.
